Somewhere With You

Rick glared.
"How can you... just.. ugh!" Rick growled and walked off. Alex grabbed his wrist and pulled him back.
"They don't get it Rick. I had to give up a baby to save your momma. It was hard but if I had to do it again I would. They don't see it like we do. But trust me, I'll help you make sure Kevin is okay one way or another." Alex said softly.

Mike Picked Kevin up and carried him off to his and Alex's room. He said nothing. He laid Kevin down and then laid down with him, he held his son tightly, insuring his comfort.
He knew what it was like.
He knew Kevin was scared.
He knew how bad he wanted the baby.
He knew.

Alex sat with Rick, rubbing his back soothingly.
"It'll be alright.." He nodded to his son in law.
"You don't know that..."
"But I do. I won't let anything happen to my son. I know that feeling. You'd rather save Kevin than the baby. I don't know what I'd have done if I kept Mike over that child... so I won't let that happen to you.."

Mike was listening to them, a small smile on his lips. He absentmindedly stroked Kevin's belly.
The soft snored from his son soothed him.

rick stood and walked into the bedroom.
"Mike... can I talk to you please?"

"Well....Im kinda stuck, I dont wanna wake him. Come and get in bed with us, he is asleep so he wont hear. talk to me."
Me gently pulled Kevin back so Rick could lay on the other side of him.

Rick sat down on the bed, careful not to move ti too much.
"Mike... you can't let anything happen to Kevin... please..."

"Rick....God....Baby, this is serious. Kevin wants this baby more than anything. I understand him. Not only will he have a baby, he will have your baby. This child is special, its....It always assures him that you wont leave him and go back to Sydney." Mike knew.

"But Mike... you dont understand... I'll never forgive myself if that baby hurts Kevin in any way shape or form. I'll get him pregnant again if he wants..."

"Rick, this is HIS baby, your baby. He wants this, he is too hardheaded to care what it does to him. Alex doesn't know but Kevin is special. Im always on him about eating because he has a special diabetic. Once he has this child he will be sick. We know, me and him know how bad this baby could be for him but he wants it. I was not very happy about it because his body can only take so much."

"Mike, then please. Please, I'm begging you. I'm prepared to get down on my knees. Get. Rid. Of it. We'll have another. One that won't be so bad on him."

"Rick,m it does not matter. It will be bad on him either way. This one is just worse because when Quincy stepped on him and Lane kneed him...it twisted the baby so it will take longer to get it out and that will just expose him to alot and if he weren't already dead this would be a life/death thing for him. But, baby I can't take this away from him. No matter how much me or you wants too."

Rick climbed off the bed and got on his knees. He rested his head on Mike's knee for a moment before looking up at him. His eyes were tearfilled.
"Mike please, I'm begging you."

Mike shook his head.
"Rick please stop. I can't, you know I can't. This is not my choice, its his, this is not my baby, its his."

"He's your son. I'm his fiance. It's my baby too. Mike please...." Rick was close to tears and h'ed cried enough today.

"Your right, but its his body. And its his risk. Not yours and not mine. Rick....I cant take this away from him. You cant take this away from him." Mike shook his head, One hand on Keviv's stomach, one hand stroking Rick's cheek.

The first tear fell and Rick cursed.
"Mike... you can't... please." His voice splintered as he buried his head in Mike's lap.

Mike shook his head. He gently and carefully sat up before pulling Rick into his arms and rocking his back and forth.
"Shhhh its okay baby. He can't die again, he will be here..."
But no one knew what sort of health he would be in.

"But he'll be in pain 24fucking7." Rick said through gritted teeth. "I dont want that! I won't be able to look at the baby knowing he did that to my Kevin!"

"Oh God Rick, stop it baby please. I am his mother. I dont want this either. Thats why I wanted to choke you when I heard he was pregnant but I knew he was NOT letting it go, I know what it will do to him and I fucking know he wont let this child go. You will have to take care of this baby for a while because he just...he wont be able to do it."

"Mike, Mike PLEASE!" Rick was full on sobbing now. "I can't do it I CANT. PLEASE."

"Ill help you, Alex will help you. FUCK even Dustin and Dewayne and his new boyfriend will help you. We have a family now, you wont be alone."

"IT's not that Mike! I can't watch him hurt!" Rick cried. "PLEASE!" HE clutched fistfuls of Mike's shirt in his fists.

"Well then dont look baby." Mike sighed and pressed Rick to his chest.
Kevin had woken up, Rick's yells jolting him awake. He was silent...

"Mike you know what I mean! Please.... please..." He sobbed softly.
