This is the Last Night You'll Spend Alone

Randy was so glad. He felt like he was really helping this man. He reached down and kissed Evan's forehead.
"Why don't ya get some sleep, you look tired. I'll be right here when you wake up."

Evan blushed a little at Randy's gentle touch. It was still so new to him. He nodded and closed his eyes. "Sleep sounds........good," Evan yawned, drifting off.

Randy grinned widely as Evan dosed off, he just sat there, smiling down at Evan's sleeping figure until eventually he fell asleep himself.

Evan slept peacefully for a while, until the memories of the past few months began to haunt him. He twisted around in his sleep.

Randy awoke to Evan's squirming body.
"Evan, you alright?" Randy asked, concerned.

"Let....lemme go!" Evan cried out in his sleep. "No....no lemme go!"

"Evan, Evan wake up." Randy tried to shake Evan awake but so far it wasn't working.

Evan whimpered, trying to fight away from his attacker in his dream.

"EVAN!" Randy shouted one last time, even louder than the others.

Evan's brown eyes shot open, scanning the room quickly.

"I think you were having a nightmare." Randy said, lowering his voice.

Evan nodded. "They came after me," Evan muttered.

Randy wrapped his arms around Evan and hugged him tightly.
"You're okay. It was just a dream."

Evan looked up at Randy. "You won't let them get me?" Evan asked.

Randy shook his head.
"They'll never put a hand on you again."

Evan nodded, eyes falling shut again.

Randy smirked, stroking Evan's short dark hair, not daring to fall asleep again.

Evan awoke the next morning and his surprise, Randy was still there. He half expected the larger man to be gone by morning. He let out a sleepy yawn as he stretched, scanning the room.

Luckily, Randy was a very light sleeper. The sound of Evan's yawn and the creak of the bed, made him stir awake.
"How'd ya sleep?" He asked Evan groggily

Evan rubbed his eyes. "Pretty good," Evan replied. "You're still here?" he asked, cocking his head to one side.

"Yup." Randy nodded with a smirk.

Evan shrugged and smiled. "I'm glad," Evan said.

"So how'd it feel sleeping in a bed again?" Randy asked, not wanting an awkward silence.

"Like heaven," Evan admitted. "I can't remember the last time I'd slept in one."

"Well I'm glad you liked it. You'll be sleeping in one every night from now on." Randy grinned.
