When Crickets Cry...

"It might shock him so bad he snaps out of it." Higgy nodded. "Thats what I do."

"Okay...." Brayden bit his lip but nodded.

Higgy sniffled, looking up at Angel with teary eyes, Angel had just stepped from the bathroom. Pink towel hanging loosely from his lithe hips. Water dripping from his hair, to his shoulder, down his scar marred chest and down to the towel. But Angel didn't seem like he even saw then, he was gently rubbing his eyes, his body shaking violently.
This happened alot when he got out of the shower.

Brayden trembled as he watched Angel, eyes watering.

Angel finally noticed them and gave a sweet smile.
"Hi..."

"Hi baby..." He smiled softly but all he could think of was that picture...

Higgy sniffled and reached out, grabbing the towel and pulling him closer. Higgy took Angel's face in his hand, examining it, pointing out the scars under his eyes.

Brayden bit his lower lip.
"Did you have to show me...?" He looked at his feet.

"I was looking for myself Actually....I keep hoping one day they wont be there." He sighed softly.

"Scars don't go away..." He sighed softly, wanting to kiss under Angel's eyes.

"I just....I have had a few that fade over time if they arent that bad...."
But these were bad, Angel just kept them covered up.

"Angel, baby can I touch you right now?" He asked softly.

Angel hesitated, looking around nervously.
"Wh-what are you going to do?"

"I'm just going to kiss your cheek, honey." Brayden spoke gently.

Angel nodded.
"Okay...." He paused first, pulling back and taking his clothes to go dress in the bathroom.

Brayden waited for Angel to come back, glad he was getting somewhere.

Angel stepped back out, his hair brushed and dressed in pink flannel pajama's. He stepped back over to the bed and sat down.

Brayden carefuly, being sure not to scare him pressed his lips under Angel's right eyes where the scars were. He placed kisses along them and pulled back with a small smile.

Angel blinked at him, his head cocked to the side.
"Was there a reason for that?" He asked softly.

"Because I love you." Brayden responded simply.

Angel smiled softly, holding his knee's to his chest.
"I love you too..."

"So, whatcha wanna go Angel?" He smiled softly

Angel was quiet for a moment, thinking hard.
"I want....to go out side and lay down and look at clouds but its dark...Cant see em any more..."

"We can do that in the morning if you still want to. For now, maybe we should go to sleep."

Angel nodded slowly, looking at the two of them as if he was unsure of what to do. Higgy smiled and kissed his cheek.
"Angel, Me and Brayden will stay with you, ill sleep on the floor...You and Brayden on the bed...."
