Can't Go On

Zac smiled softly at them and nuzzled his mother's neck, finally dosing off.

Kevin turned over, singing their wedding song e had wrote softly in Rick's ear.

Rick opened an eye and smiled softly. He kissed Kevin's nose and yawned before falling back asleep.

Kevin wanted to cuddle Rick but he didn't wanna wake him up. He knew his lover was tired.

And he was. The fighting really was tiring. But he lazily threw a leg over both of Kevin's, hugging him around the waist.

Kevin grinned, Rick was so good to him....
He had never felt so loved as he did with Rick.

The next morning, Rick had Kevin in a bit of a vise grip, arms bear hugging his waist, his one strong leg, holding both Kevin's in place.
Zac was the first up, chuckling over at them.

Kevin let one eye slip open to look at him.
"Laugh all you want but I feel so safe and loved..."

"Told ya he loves you." Zac smiled softly, kissing his mother's temple before he wandered out to see if Mike was up yet.

Mike was the first up, getting things ready, always trying to please Alex by doing something. Right now he was cooking as hard and as fast as he could.

"Hey memaw." Zac said quietly as he walked into the kitchen.

"Hey baby." Mike greeted as he bounced around the kitchen like a good little house wife.

"... whenever you're done there can we talk?" Zac bit his lip.

"We can talk now." Mike sat down and smiled at him.
"What is it?"

"You... gave up Aaron for grandpa, right?" Zac asked, sitting down across from him.

Mike tensed up but nodded.
"Yes...I did." He didnt like talking about abandoning his baby.

"Was it hard? I..." He felt like a bad lover...he did love Quincy more than anything... but giving up his baby....

"One of the hardest things I have ever done...." It really had been, sure he didnt like Aaron because he wasnt Alex's and he was a product of rape but...
That was his baby boy.

"How did you do it....?" Zac sighed.

"I took one look at Alex and I just....I knew he was hurting....I cant let him hurt so that was the end of it and I knew Quincy would take care of Aaron,....He is a good daddy."

Zac sighed and nodded.
He'd just have to do it and deal... Then he thought of something...
"Memaw... I know Aaron doesn't really think of me as a mother or anything. He's older. But he's called me momma a few times and.. he's my baby whether he likes it or not. Do you ever... get mad or jealous of me?" He asked curiously.
If Jude called someone else momma... he didn't know what he'd do.. and he just met him...

Mike nodded.
"Breaks my heart, makes me wanna die again...I feel like a piece of shit but I know...Your a good momma and I want that for him....I want him to have someone that loves and cares for him....Like you....And like Chris does with Dewayne."

Zac bit his lip but nodded again.
"Last question memaw... sorry if I'm bothering you. Do you think I'm a bad lover because I'm not immediately willing to give up my baby for Quincy?"

Mike chuckled,shaking his head.
"No, a normal person wouldn't give up their baby for a lover...Im just....Im me like that...."
Mike gave everything for Alex.

Zac nodded.
"I want to... I don't want to hurt him but thats my baby... I'm just... I'm me like that." He smiled softly at his grandmother.
