Invisible...Am I?

"N-no!" Rick sobbed, hugging onto him tightly.

Mike was alarmed by this.
"O-Oh baby please dont cry, shhhh, dont cry..."

"Y-you're leaving me!" He cried harder, hugging him close.

"Rick imma be back baby, ill be back and ill love you and all make up for it,.....Ill lay with you until you fall asleep."

"o-okay..." Rick sniflfed, hugging Mike to his chest and closing his eyes.

Mike smiled, his head resting so he could hear Rick heart. He snuggled close and waited for his baby to sleep.

Rick was trying to stay awake for as long as possible so Mike would stay...

Mike caressed his cheek, kissing his jaw.
"My sweet baby....." He sat up and pressed Rick close.
"Come stop your crying it will be alright, just take my hand, hold it tight. I will protect you, from, all around you. I will be here, dont you cry." He sang gently.

Rick sobbed lightly but with Mike's singing, he was asleep within minutes.

Mike picked him up and carried him to Alex and Kevin, laying him down. He stepped back and looked at his sleeping family.
They were precious.

Rick sleepily grumbled and nuzzled Kevin's neck.

Mike kissed Alex softly before disappearing into the night. On the night, as Mike disappeared, a baby was born, yes, Holden Michael Harden took his first breath.

Rick woke up in the morning to find Mike gone. He sobbed heartbrokenly.

As time went by it got easier but Mike was still missed. The first mothers day that went by almost killed Kevin....That was always a special day for him.

Alex was just... awful. He refused to go and see Lane... he couldn't look at him...

It was getting better, years had gone by, Austin was almost fifteen. Jr was sixteen. Kevin and Rick had been married for about fifteen years. They wanted to go out and celebrate, their anniversary was tomorrow.

Years had gone by and Alex was getting better but not much. He didn't have a lover but he was fine with that.

Kevin sighed and took Ricks hand.
"What should we do? I wanna get the whore family together." He nodded.

"I dunno baby.Wanna have like one of the old gettogethers?"

Kevin nodded.
"Yeah but maybe have it somewhere different...Like a beach or....a park...somewhere nice."

Rick nodded.
"That sounds nice baby.."

"Pick somewhere and imma start calling people." Mike bounced off to the phone.

Rick picked a nice spot on a big beach close by.

Sure Mike was gone but they were slowly healing. One day it would be okay again. It would just take time.
