Your Sacrifice Is The Price I Pay To Be Free

Mike hummed, he knew he was dying but it was okay as long as John was here with him. He wasn't dying alone.

"I understand if you hate me Mike. I deserve it. I just want you to know I love you so so much."

"D-Don't hate y-you.....im hurt, and im d-dying but im not e-ever going t-to hate you.....I l-love you t-to much to do that." Mike tried to smile. "L-Looks like you w-wont be getting the m-massage."

Those words only made John cry more.
"Baby..."
Mike was still trying to be happy even though he was dying.

"I-If I die....i'll wait for you i-if you want, but don't hurry. T-take your time,Or fine someone e-else."

"I;m not gonna find someone else. I told you. I'm coming with you. The second you die, I'll be with you an hour later. Tops." John said honestly. Mike was the only thing he had to live for.

"J-John, you.....kinda killed me, either that or almost. L-Least you can do is promise you wont f-follow." Mike's eyes filled with tears, he couldn't have John do suck a thing.

"M-mike, if you die I have nothing to live for." John said, voice cracking. "You are the only reason I haven't ended it already."

"J-John...." Mike sighed, if he meant so much then why did John do this to him.

"Mike. I can't live if youre not with me." John confessed honestly.

"Then why kill me?" Mike asked quietly. "Did I do s-something wrong?'

"No baby, you did nothing wrong." John cried, shaking his head furiously.

"S-So what...they just threatened you?" Mike wanted to think he life was worth more than that but he knew it wasn't.

"I... yeah." John sighed. "I'm s-so sorry." He sobbed, taking Mike's hand.

Mike was not really shocked now that the reality hit him. His life was not worth a lot, John didn't care all that much. Mike didn't say anything though, he decided to just die in peace.

"Mike baby I know I don't deserve it but please try to hang on for me." John begged.

"Wh-Why.....so you and your f-friends can finish the j-job?" Mike asked, tears pricking his eyes.

"No baby no." John sobbed. "Theyre not my friends and I don't want to hurt you. I love you."

"Th-Then why....Does my l-life mean so little?" Mike whimpered, weakly turning his head away.

"Your life means the world to me Mike. I'm just so selfish. They're gonna do it again anyway." John shook his head as his chest shook with a silent sob.

"N-Not if I have anything t-to say about it." Mike growled. He didn't know what he would do but he would do something.

"Baby, why do you still want to defend me? I'm the reason you're dying." John cried.

"J-John, so what? My life might n-not mean that much to y-you but your sure as hell m-means alot to m-me."

"Mike your life means everything to me baby.I didn't want to at all I'm so sorry."

Mike's eyes just closed as he let his body relax and go limp, he was so, so tired.
