Alex got up and went to the door, he was not in the mood. He didn't even open the door. "I don't want whatever your selling! Screw the census Momma ain't here! And I know damn well it ain't Critter because he is with momma at chemo. I dont care who you are but im busy." He snapped.

"Umm Alex... it's your father." Alex chuckled. "Now I need to change my bandages so I'd appreciate if ya let me in."

Alex slung the door open and tackled his father to the ground, tears instantly falling from his eyes. "Daddy!" He wailed.

Alex winced as his son tackled him, slamming into his wound. But he hugged him tight anyway, ignoring the pain.

Alex Jr sobbed. "D-Daddy your home." His tears wetting the front of Alex's shirt.

"Yupp baby. And i got more than a few days this time. They said as long as I need to heal. And I plan on healing very slow." He chuckled. "I'm staying for at least a month." He grinned kissing the top of his son's head.

"Momma and Sydney aren't here, sorry." Alex got up and helped his father up. "Sydney took the baby to the park and Critter came to take momma to chemo."

"Okay." Alex paused and took off his shirt revealing the blood stained bandages. "I gotta go put new bandages on."

Alex Jr gasped at the wound, his eyes tearing up again as he nodded and apologized for tackling his father like he did.

"It's alright baby." Alex smiled. "You didn't know where it was." He patted his son on the back.
"You don't gotta watch this. It'll probably gross you out."

Alex shook his head and mutter a quick. "Be right back." Before he hurried up the stairs. He got his keys and soon came down.

"Where are you going?" Alex raised a brow at his son.

He paused. "Don't you want to go surprise momma?" He asked, his hand on the door knob. "Oh...If you would rather rest then that's fine to."

"Course I do. Just one sec." He dashed to the bathroom and quickly un wrapped himself. Then replaced the bandages.
"Okay, now I'm ready." Alex said as he ran back to his son.

Alex Jr grinned as he got in his very own truck. It was new, only about a month or so old. Critter had matched his savings and help him buy it. When his father was in the truck he pulled out of the drive and started on his way to the hospital.

Alex was practically giddy with excitement.
"I can't wait to see your momma. How's he been doin?"

"Ummmm do you want the truth or what you want to hear?" In truth Mike was hell, he was weak and he had dropped a lot of weight. twenty pounds to be exact and still losing, his hair had began to fall out, he was always so sick. It hurt Alex to think about it. His mother looked so fragile, like the softest touch could break him.

Alex sighed. He knew what that meant.
"I want the truth."

"I.....Any normal person would say he is dying. But I have to have hope that momma will make it. He has lost twenty pounds and he is still losing. You thought he was fragile then, now its like the tiniest touch could break him. He is so pale and he is always sick, especially after chemo. He is always tired and he is losing his hair." Alex Jr looked out the window. "And I sure there's more that I have no idea about....always is."

These words hurt. Alex blinked back tears, a small whiny noise squeaking from the back of his throat.

Alex Jr looked over at his father. "I wont say its okay because really its not. I have no idea what we would do without you or momma. And we almost lost you, still could and it looks like were losing momma, but he is trying so hard since he heard you were still alive. He really has and that's why I have hope." Alex Jr nodded, his hand on his father's shoulder.

"I know it's not okay. But your momma ain't goin down without a fight."

"Yeah, I know." Alex Jr turned into the hotel parking lot and turned off his truck. He got out and walked up to the hospital where they rode the elevator to the seventh floor, the cancer floor. It smelt like sterilizer and death.

Alex thought he was going to be sick. The smell of hospitals always made him woozy.

Alex Jr went straight to the room they gave his mother for chemo. He knocked softly and soon Critter answered the door. "Hey Alex." He said gruffly, pulling Alex into a one arm hug. "How is momma?" Critter paused and you could hear Mike throwing up in the back ground. Critter smirked. "Hes good."
