Alex had to pause for a moment outside the door, he leaned against the wall for support. He took a deep breath before stepping inside.

Critter gave Alex a wary smile as he went into the room with him. "Mike! You have company Boo!" You could hear Mike stumbling around before hearing him be sick again. "We will wait until your done puking your guts up though." He look at Alex. "Sorry, he is being sick. He can't help it."

"I know." Alex frowned. "Has he been doin this a lot?" He thought he already knew the answer.
He had to keep taking deep breaths and holding onto things to keep himself upright. He'd lost way too many family members when he was younger. The smell made him sick, it disgusted him now. If it wasn't for Mike he wouldn't be here.

"Yeah, he has." Critter whistled. "Poor thing."
Critter eyed Alex, he was well trained and he knew Alex didnt like it in here by the way he was acting.
"You can go, I got him we do it several times a month. He will probably be sick for a while and you don't seem to like it here and I understand that." He smiled. "I'll take care for him for you though, I know he is dying to see you."

"I'm alright. Just a bit... woozy. I want to stay here with him." He would never say anything considering Mike was really sick but he wasn't going to let Critter stay here alone and comfort HIS husband. He was and always would be the jealous type. Critter hadn't done anything so far. So he had nothing against him yet.

Critter nodded and stepped inside the bathroom with Mike. You could hear Critter's gruff voice. "You need something?"
"They can wait boo, your sick."
"Do you need a nurse?"
"Your sure?"
"Okay."
And then more puking cold be heard as Critter came out. "He is probably going to be in there for a bit, he want's to be alone while hes sick." Critter shrugged and sat in a plastic chair. "Make yourselves comfy then."

Alex sat down in a chair, taking deep shaky breaths.
Only for Mike would he stay here.

Critter looked Alex over. "You know I am in no way interested in him like that, Im his friend. I am in no way shape or form like Daffy. I respect he is yours, That how I was with my wife." Critter looked sincere and he was, he beat the hell out of anyone who coped a feel with his wife.

"Alright. Not trying to be rude. Just protective. And I never really knew you that well." Alex managed a small smile.

Critter shrugged. "I was both, I beat the hell out of someone for messing with my wife." He smiled fondly. "She sure was something, that women."

Alex comfortingly patted Critter's shoulder.
"I'm sorry for ya. I don't know what I'm gonna do if Mike..." He couldn't bring himself to finish the sentence.

Critter nodded. "He is trying, for you he really is." Critter cracked his back, his shirt sliding up,revealing some painful looking scars.

"What happened to you?" Alex's brow furrowed, pointing at the scars. "I'm sorry I know it's not really my buisness."

Critter laughed. "Those were from war," He smiled. "I in listed when I was eighteen, I was there for fifteen years." He paused. "I was one of the best, that's what everyone said. I was good because I wanted to be there so I took chances like theses." He motioned to the scars. "The others were from momma and her drunken self." He shrugged. "I got those certain scars.." He paused. "It was a whip, I got caught by he enemy and they tortured my ass." It wasn't funny but he still laughed.

"Oh I'm sorry." Alex apologized. "Just got my first scar from war. I thought it was bad but it's nothing compared to yours." He peeled back a small section of his bandage, revealing the large wound.

Critter laughed. "Don't be sorry, they're not that bad, I've had worse." He looked at Alex's wound. "That's a nice sized wound, they should have let you go with a wound like that." Critter clicked his tongue.

"I got a few weeks, a month maybe." Alex sighed, it seemed like such a short time.

Critter frowned and lifted his shirt. He had horrible scars covering almost every inch of his body. He pointed to a smaller one, about the size of Alex's. "They wanted to send me home for this, I said 'hell no'" He shrugged.

"I wish they'd send me home." Alex sighed. "I'm sorry. I'm seeing how much you went through but I'd give anything to stay here with Mike. He needs me now."

Critter nodded. "He is so sick, your time with him is so precious because he may be gone tomorrow." He sighed. 'I regret being away from my wife so much."

Alex sighed. He didn't like that thought.
"I'm just hopin I can stay home for a while and try to help him a bit."

"Yeah, thats just what he needs....he needsyou." Critter nodded, he knew Mike.

Alex noticed his son walk away for a second.
"Chris, if Mike does happen to... not make it. I don't know how much longer I can go on. I'm going to try of course for the kids. But if I can't will you please take care of them? I know you already do a lot."

Critter looked at him sadly. "Do you trust me with your kids?" He knew Mike did, Mike trusted him with anything because he was a man of his word.

"like I said before, I don't know you that well. But if Mike trusts you I guess I do too." Alex gave a small smile.
