I Dream Of Death

"Alex, I do care. Mike is mine to take care of too but I don't need you getting onto trouble." He hugged Alex. "Mike started it, he hit Daffy first."

"He deserved it. Are you saying it was alright for him to call me a hoe?" Alex clicked his tongue at his husband.

"No Boo, I wasn't and you know that." Critter sighed.
"Just let it go Alex."

"No. He can't hurt Mike and get away with it. Whose side are you on?"

"He is not the only one who has hurt Mike."
Critter didn't mean it the way it came out. He didn't mean for it to sound like he was accusing Alex of hurting Mike.

Alex laughed bitterly and shook his head.
"Just go Lane." He turned away so Lane wouldn't see how bad that hurt.

"Alex baby, you know that's not what I meant. I love you and you love me and we both love Mike and Mike loves us. He are going to start taking care of him better. I wasn't trying to hurt you or anything baby. But Mike is a fragile person, you know that. He is easily hurt..."

"I know and I just fucking stopped hating myself for hurting him! You knew that." Alex snapped.

Lane hugged Alex close.
"It'll be okay, we might have to talk to him a bit because Daffy said some....harsh things. But we will be okay."

"Daffy always says harsh things... he fuckin ruins everything." Alex snarled.

"Yeah but I think this was pretty bad....I think he really has Mike thinking all we want him for is sex."

"He does." Alex sighed.
"He's just fucking jealous cause Mike doesn't want him anymore."

Mike hasn't had anybody in a long time.... no telling what Daffy has done.... Critter knew abuse and rape and lots of other stuff was possible, he just didn't say.

"Baby can you go try and talk to Mike? I'll be there in a sec."

"No, I can't leave you because there is no telling what you might do now come on." He took Alex's hand in his ans began walking.

"You know me way too well." Alex grumbled and reluctantly followed.

Soon they got to where Sarah had Mike's head in her lap. He was hugging her waist as sobs wracked is small frame.

"Sarah... can we talk to him now?" Alex asked.

Mike whimpered and held on tighter as Sarah stroked his hair.
"Yes, you can." She said softly as Mike slowly let her go, hiding his face so Alex and Lane couldn't see the tears.

Alex sat down and set Mike in his lap.
He just stroked his hair for a moment.

Mike hugged onto Alex and buried his head in his ex husbands chest. Lane sighed and pulled Alex into his lap.

"Oh yay, cuddling." Alex grinned and kissed the top of Mike's head.

Mike hiccuped as Lane gently played with his hair, the crying had yet to stop.

"Baby, what Daffy said wasn't true." Alex cooed.

"Wh-Why else would you want m-me when you have h-him." Mike choked out.
