"B-because it's been your name for twenty five years. Michael Mizanin sounds wrong..."

Mike shrugged, "No...what sounds wrong to me, is Alex McCormick." He wasn't the only one who had to change names after twenty five years.

Alex frowned. He liked that name more than Alex Riley.
"Baby..." He sighed.

"Dont baby me Boo," Mike spat the words like they tasted sour.

Alex frowned.
"D-don't say it like that..." He was defensive about his pet name. Mike was probably the only person who could get away with saying it like that.

Mike rolled his eyes,
"Mike Mizanin sounds fine now dont it Darlin'"
He got out, took a towel and left.

Alex sighed, putting his head in his hands. He just stayed there not knowing where to go.

"Michael Mizanin!!!" You could hear Sarah yelling it from the other end of the house. She wanted to see her Mikey. It wasn't that she didn't like Alex but he was hurting her Mikey and she couldn't like that.

"Michael Riley!" Alex wanted to scream back. But he couldn't. He peered out the door searching for Lane.

Lane was following Sarah, arguing about Mike's name.

"His name is Michael Riley..." Lane persisted.
"Its Michael Gregory Mizanin!" She yelled back, they found Mike.
"Whats your name?" The asked in sync.
"Michael Gregory Mizanin..." Was his reply as he stomped off.

Alex let out a sob, hoping they didn't hear. As Lane passed the bathroom Alex grabbed his wrist and pulled him in.

"Alex baby." Lane pulled him to his chest.
"Im sorry Boo, we were arguing about Mike. I didnt forget you."

"I heard." Alex frowned, wrapping his arms around his husband. "He's Michael Riley..." He pouted.

"I know he is Boo, we all know he is....."
But why?

"Baby I'm sorry and I'm not going to be mean to her... but I don't really like Sarah." He sighed. "Why does she automatically hate me so much? From the day I met her when she tried to take my old wedding ring... it's like she's trying to take Mike from me..."

"She is........." He nodded, he knew her and that's exactly what she was doing.

"Why?!" Alex exclaimed, pounding a fist down on the bathroom sink.
"What the fuck did I ever do to her?! She's hated me since the day we fucking met?!" He didn't care if she heard him at this point. He would yell at her to her face right now. He didn't care anymore that he was against yelling at a girl.

"Because Boo....She loves him....And you don't love him like you love me and it hurts him more than anything Daffy or anyone else could ever do to him.

"Well she's fucking getting on my nerves. Everyone keeps saying I don't love him anymore. How many times do i have to say I DO! Before someone actually listens!"

"Yes....you do. But not as much as you love me Alex. " Critter sighed and kissed Alex's cheek. "If you don't do something she will take him from you."

"Make her knock it off." Alex whimpered.

"I cant Boo, only you can. She wont listen to me, she knows I wont do anything and im only doing it for you........"

"Lane, you don't want me to get pissed at her to her face..."

"Riddle me this, this is what she wants to know to. You have me, why do you want him?"

"I don't even need him as a lover anymore. But she's trying to take him away as a friend too. I fucking need him. I'm addicted Lane he's like my own personal brand of heroine."
