I Dream Of Death

"I know we were and we.........We were wrong to do that. I didn't even stop to think about what that would do to him but you DO NOT mean to hurt him."

"I didn't mean to but I still did!" Alex's body shook with sobs.

"Yeah....you did. But its okay Alex."
Lane pulled Alex into his arms again and covered them both up.

"It's not okay..." Alex whispered. He didn't have the energy to push Lane off and be stubborn.

"He.......You were......."
Mike was hurt because Alex was protecting him.

"I was just lost in the moment... we were in the middle of... well you know. All I could see was you. All I cared about was you. ANd he went to hit you... I didn't mean to..."

"I know you didn't mean to."
He could hear Sarah moving things and bumping around.
He didn't even wonder what she was doing.
He knew.

"Wh-what's she doing to him?" Alex looked up at Lane.

"Its nothing baby," Lane held Alex tighter as he listened to Sarah's tired breaths. Mike own ragged, shallow choked gasps joined her as he tried to help.

"Lane tell me." Alex said. It came out in a strangled whisper.

"I think.....Mike is switching rooms, they are moving him into a different room. And she is trying to take care of him, he still has that fever I bet......"
Mike could have been leaving the house completely.

"Whats moving him into a different room gonna help?" Alex asked.

"He might just be leaving the house completely......."
He couldn't sleep in a bed they had made love in.

"N-no.... I don't want Mike to leave. I... I'm sorry." Alex whimpered.

"Go tell him that."
It probably wouldn't help. Mike's suspicions of Alex still loving Lane more had been confirmed when he stabbed him.

"I c-can't. He h-hates me now..." Alex frowned.

"That man, wont ever hate you. I know this for a fact. He might be hurt and angry but he dont hate you." Critter cooed.

"Why?! Why do you both love me so much?! Give me a reason! All I do is fuck everything up! All I do is hurt you both cause I can't choose!" Alex sobbed.

"We love you...because you have at one point loved us. We love how your eyes dance when your happy. We love how protective you can be. We love your laugh, your voice period, its so warm and loving when it speaks to us. We love the you lie when you say you love us. We love how the light hits your face in the morning making you look angelic. We love your smile, we love your everything...."

Alex cried even harder at the sweet words.
"I don't deserve it!"

"Yes you do Boo, you have all the love in the world from me and Mikey."
He sighed, he didnt want Mike to hate him.

"But Mike is gonna be pissed at you now. You two have been friends since birth and I'm ruining it! Im tearing you apart!"

Alex spoke the truth.
"I know, he knows, but we cant help that we love you."

"I don't want to ruin you guy's friendship..." Alex sighed.

"Alex, then you will have to talk to him because he wont talk to me....We cant let you go. We wont."
