"Your dying anyways and he knows, he is willing to let it go, I have talked to him about it and its all fine."

"Well... maybe I don't know....." He sighed softly.

"I do. Your going to let your momma take care of it, im going to kill you tomorrow, and by the next day you should be fine."

"Momma.... I don't know. I really don't know...."

"I do, Rick baby, What I say goes, im doctor." He covered Rick up and laid him down.
"Sleep baby."

Rick sighed softly.
"Love you momma." He closed his eyes, attempting to sleep.

Kevin got up and looked at his mother, throwing himself in Mike's arms and sobbing.
"Damnit, he does not have to be strong for me! He does not have to go through all this shit for me....He fucking needs better."

But Rick was sleeping by now.... he heard nothing.

And Mike was glad for that.
He just rocked his baby back and forth, trying to calm him down.

Maybe it was better that Rick didn't hear.... if he did he would only stress himself more by comforting him...

The morning came, Mike had everything for Rick ready and Kevin was almost done with his Dialysis for the day.

"Mike, I don't want you to kill me..." Rick sighed.

Mike shook his head.
"Im not letting it eat you up any more." Kevin looked over at them, smiling softy.

"I'm fighting. I'm trying Mike...." He sigehd.

"Rick baby, shhhh." Mike laid him down and stuck an IV in his arm, getting him ready.

"Momma..." He was terrified... he wanted Kevin with him but Kevin was sick. He knew he couldn't ask that...

But Kevin knew, He unhooked himself and sat beside Rick, taking his hand. Kevin moved so he was on the small bed with Rick in his arms, smiling softly at him.
"Im here baby...."

Rick smiled softly but shook his head.
"You go... go rest... I'm good." He wasn't.

"No Rick, not this time. You can act strong and deny everything for me but I know...and this time im not letting go."

"Kevin baby please... go rest for me...." Rick sighed.

Kevin shook his head.
"Im fine."
Mike crumbled his pills up and mixed them with a fluid before injecting Rick with it.

Rick sighed before giving up. He let go, holding onto Kevin as tightly as possible, eyes clenched tightly shut.

Kevin held onto him tightly, whispering 'I love yous' and 'itll be okays' to him. He looked at his mother and kissed Rick one last time.

Kevin stroked his hair, kissing the top of his head as they waited for the drugs to take effect.
