Wrapped In Rain, Surrounded By Pain

Vash made his child a plate and smiled at him.
"Well I got news."

"And whats that?" cade asked as he dug in

"Angel is over turning the rights to me. He says he is done. He thinks im a pretty good mother, and you both seem pretty happy with me so he is...Just done with I suppose."

CAde's face fell and he dropped his fork. He abruptly stood and ran from the room.

Vash frowned, looking at Gabriel before standing and running after his child.
"Cade baby wait!!!"

"Go away Vash!" He yelled, locking himself in the bathroom. "Don't do it... don't cry... you're too strong for that shit..." He coached himself

Vash looked at the door with irritation.
'Hey! Talk to me! Tell me! If it hurts you fucking tell me and make your momma hear you!"

Cade opened the door and whispered.
"But daddy can't hear..."

Vash nodded slowly and stepped into the room. "I wont tell daddy, he wont ever know..."

"I-I want momma." He put his head in his hands.

Vash frowned deeply at him.
"Alright, and I know Angel wants to come back just because he can hear you but baby you have to understand....unless you wont be okay without him then....Sweetheart, just tell him whatever you got to say now and lets go from there."

"I WONT be okay without him thats the point... Without him there's no one to stop daddy from hurting me... theres no one to cuddle me some nights... theres no one to love me..."

Vash nodded and kissed the top of his head.
"Ill be back...."
He stood and went to find Gabriel.

Gabriel was still where Vash and Cade had left him. His eyes were cold, his face emotionless.

Vash sat down and looked into his face.
"Give him one good reason. And let me make this plain. he isnt just leaving like anyone else because he wants to. He thinks you hate him now......he is listening, talk Gabriel."

"Angel... I don't hate you Not at all. I swear I wasn't beating you cause of Kyndal... that isn't how I work... if Kyndal meant more to me... I would've beat your ass nad kept him around... but I love you... if you dont like him I won't speak to him.. I love you so much even though I'm an ass... I... coem back.. please...'

Vash stood up, kissed his nose and left the room, going back to Cade and knocking on the door.
"Open up."

Cade slowly opened the door and lookd at him.
"What...?"

His eyes were blue, the bright, pure baby blue that meant Angel was home...

"Momma!" Cade exclaimed, hugging his mother close.

Angel hugged his baby, kissing his forehead.
"Oh Cade I missed you baby!!"

"I missed you too momma!!" He kissed his cheek.

Angel pulled back and grinned. "I love you baby, so much...Was Vash nice?"

"He was good." He nodded. "But nothing compared to you...."

"Baby im sure he was better. Im sure he takes good care of you." Angel kissed his son's nose. "Wanna go cuddle on the couch after I talk to daddy?"
