Surprise........Daddy

"Th-he's burning up..." Cody sighed

Randy groggily stood up. He walked to the bathroom and quickly splashed some water on his face to wake up. He then walked back out to Cody and Lanna. He carefully scooped Lanna up from Cody's arms.
"Hey honey. How ya feelin'?" He asked, although from what Cody had said, he already knew the answer.

Lanna whimpered and shook her head.

"Poor, baby." Randy cooed, stroking her hair.
"I think it's time for more medicine honey."

Lanna whined....weakly shaking her head. She didn't want any more of that sticky, icky nasty stuff.

"But it's gonna make you feel better sweety." Randy cooed, not wanting to go through this again.

"Give her to me," Cody said. "Maybe I can help."

Randy reluctantly handed Alanna to Cody.

"Hey there th-weety," Cody purposely thickened his lisp to make her laugh.

Randy smiled, Cody had been doing really well with Alanna. He never knew he was good with children.

Cody sat down, talking with Alanna for a few minutes. "Randy....give me the med-th," Cody said so Alanna couldn't hear him.

Randy discreetly passed Cody the bottle of medication.

Cody poured some of he medicine on a spoon while Lanna wasn't looking. "Th-ally th-ells th-ea th-ell-th down by the th-ea th-ore," Cody whispered to her. He slipped one hand over her eyes so she couldn't see the spoon coming, slipping it in her mouth while she laughed.

Randy chuckled.
"Oh sure, you say it for her. I see how it is." He joked with mock anger.

Cody grinned, watching Alanna settle down in his arms. She smiled up at him. "Well of cour-th-e I did, how can you th-ay no to that cute little th-mile?"

"Hey I have a cute th-mile too." Randy said defensively, giving Cody a toothy grin.

Cody chuckled. "yes, but I'm pretty th-ure if you look up adorable in the dictionary, thi-th little cutie'th picture will be next to it."

"Gotta agree with ya there." Randy smirked.

Cody smiled, carrying Lanna back to bed.

Randy grinned, watching Cody put Lanna back to sleep.
"She likes you more than she likes me." Randy smirked.

"Th-he love-th you Rand, I know it," Cody said.

"I know she does. It's just impossible not to love you." Randy smiled.

Cody smiled back. "It'th just as impo-th-ible not to love you."

"Hmm... then will you say sally sells sea shells on the sea shore again?" Randy grinned.

"Maybe later," Cody said.
