I Will Stand By You Forever

Critter smiled into the kiss.
"Are you okay?"
He meant about Mike. He knew Alex cared.

Alex sighed.
"It stings a bit. I miss him. You know that. But I know that this must hurt him. And I know I made the right choice in choosing you and if this is the way he needs to deal with it then I can't really do anything about it. But I'll be fine as long as i have you."

Critter sighed and held Alex tighter.
"Its hard to believe you love me anymore than you do him. I saw you two together, it was so sweet and loving. I would believe equally but it just seems weird. Just the way you looked at him..."

"I know it's weird... but it's true. Trust me. You think I would've gone through all this if i wasn't positive." Alex smiled.

"Alex.....baby think about it....think about him, everything you two went through together. Do you really love him less than me?"

Alex thought. And everything he came up with, he had already thought over before.
"I'm positive baby."

Critter sighed. "I love you so much but I feel bad for him."
He couldn't help it. They were hurting Mike and it seemed so weird for Alex to just love someone more.

Alex's brow furrowed.
"I feel bad too..."
But he couldn't help but wonder... was Lane having second thoughts? Had seeing Sarah again made him want her back?

"I love you so much. But with me and Sarah, it was different from you two. I loved her yeah but that's over. We weren't together as long as you two. We didn't go through so much together...."

"I never thought I'd love anyone as much as I loved Mike. It seemed impossible. But... Lane, I can't even describe how amazing you make me feel. I've never felt it before. There's something about you."

"And he was not special? The man could fucking have children." It amazed Critter.

"He was... Lane you're not getting what I'm saying..." Alex sighed. "I love you more. Can we please just leave it at that?" Alex said, resting his head on Lane's shoulder.

"We can but......"
For some reason it bothered Critter. He had no idea why it just did.

"Are you trying to make me cry? Do you want me to humiliate myself in front of everyone here again?" Alex asked, looking at him with tearfilled eyes.
"Of course I fucking feel bad. It kills me. I can't explain why I love you more. I just know I do. I thought you loved me too. Do you want me to go back to Mike? So you can have Sarah? Fine." Alex pulled out of Critter's arms, he hated being a baby.

Critter blinked and pulled Alex back to him, pressing him into his chest.
"Alex, dont do this now. I don't want Sarah so don't even go there. I just don't want you hurting, or Mike really. I would like to be able to make you both happy. I was just trying to fix everything, that's my job."

"Well can ya try and do that without making me feel awful." Alex whimpered, hiding his face in Critter's shoulder.

Critter sighed and stroked Alex hair.
"Boo, I wasn't trying to hurt you. I really wasn't.....Im sorry"

"I know you weren't.." Alex sighed.

"I don't know.....Im just weird." He rolled his shoulders as he held his lover. He had always thought that Mike and Alex were love. If they weren't together then where did love go?

"Baby, can we end this? The reception? I just want to go home and lay with you." Alex murmured.

Critter nodded. He told every one they were leaving and thanked them for coming before saying bye and going out to the truck.

Mike watch and took Alex's hand before he left.
Tears welled up in his dull, hollow, lifeless blue eyes.
"I miss you...I love you."
He hugged Alex tightly.,

Alex hugged him back.
"I love you too Mike. Please don't ever think I don't."

"Its hard not too. It really is." He tried to swallow the lump in his throat.
He was Mike Mizanin now....

"I will always love you. Know that." Alex said, kissed Mike's forehead and walked out to Critter's truck.

Critter smiled as Alex got in.
He loved this man and this man loved him, but also loved Mike.
He was okay with that.
