I Dream Of Death

Mike shrugged, he didn't see what Alex was apologizing for.
Lane nuzzled Mike chest as the tears continued to pour.

Alex looked back at Sarah helplessly as if to say "What now?"

She looked thoughtful.
"Mikey, whats wrong with Lane?"

Mike didn't get the chance to answer, Lane did it for him.
"I-Im not letting him g-go back there." He sobbed.

Alex sighed. He loved both of them so much... but he could not and would not love them both at the same time.

Mike sighed.
"Lane, I can't be here, you know I can't."
He wasn't welcome here any more.

Alex grabbed Sarah's hand and pulled her back into the bedroom.
"You love him!"
She looked confused.
"He's bi! We don't want him with Daffy and I can't do the three thing so why don't you two be together?!" Alex exclaimed, looking like a little boy on christmas. But deep down he knew this was ridiculous to suggest.

"A-Alex, baby its sweet to try and help him. But he wont have me, he wont have anyone but you and he is practically my baby brother so...."
She couldnt....

"B-but you're better than daffy... Don't you want to help him?"

She laughed.
"I want to and I have considered this, I have asked him about it....He wont do it, it dont want anyone but you....Im sorry?"

"Well if he don't want anyone else than why the fuck will he have DAffy but not you!" Alex pouted.

"Because, he wont have Daffy, Daffy'll have him. He did not want Daffy, Daffy wanted him so Daffy took him." She shook her head. "Im not forcing him."

"Well I could make Daffy leave him alone but if you'll remember, Mike wouldn't let me."

"Alex, sweetheart, he dont want me. He dont want anyone else to love him, he still feels like hes cheating. Daffy dont act like that..."

"Well Daffy's a fucking ass so..." Alex grumbled.

"Alex, stop that. We all know it, but there is nothing we can do....Well Lane might he is taking this hard..."

"I can tell." Alex frowned. "I hate this. Why can't he just tell Daffy to fuck off and come stay with you."

"Because you and Lane are here and he cant take seeing that. Like he couldn't take seeing you two in his bed. It was bad enough to make him try and hit Lane. And knowing him he would have broken Lane's jaw. I know how he is when he is that hurt and upset and just fucking pissed."

"So we won't be all lovey around him. We'll save that for when we're alone."

"Alex, it wont work he just cant okay? You dont understand.....He loves you more than you have ever loved him, more than you will ever love anything."

"UGH!" Alex screamed in frustration and threw himself down on the bed. Again.

She rubbed his back, humming the song Mike had written for Alex softly. She had no idea why it was written or all the words but she loved it.

Alex lost it at that song. It brought back so many memories....

She continued to hum before singing softly, thinking nothing of it.

"S-stop... please." Alex cried, burying his head deeper into the pillow.

She stopped.
"What am I doing? Is my singing that bad?"
She had no idea.
