I Dream Of Death

Alex leaned over Mike to peck his husband's lips, a sad smile on his face.

Lane grinned back, he was happy.
But it was always calm before the storm.

"Love you..." Alex sighed, placing a kiss on Lane's cheek and Mike's forehead.

"Love to too Boo." Lane cooed as he reached for Alex's hand, holding it tightly.

Alex frowned, wishing they could stay in this exact position forever...

Lane sighed, he was pretending, he knew better. If Alex couldnt do this he would be alone.

Alex eventually fell into a fitful sleep, nothing but nightmares invading his brain.

Mike got up early the next day and told Sarah he was going to Daffy's, he would be back. It had been three hours but Sarah wasn't worried. Lane was in bed with Alex, his chest firmly to Alex's back, Alex's shoulder tucked under his chin, one of Lane's leags lazily threw over both of Alex's

Alex woke up and yawned, smiling at the position they were in.
Then he panicked.
"Where's Mike?"

"I dunno." Lane mumbled sleepily. "Sarah said he left." Lane wasn't thinking.

"Sarah!" Alex called running out of the bedroom. "Where's Mike and why in the world did you let him go?!"

She looked up from the stove, she had been cooking. "He went to Daffy's, said he would be back. And for some reason I think Daffy will be fine with it."

"Oh I'm sure he will!" Alex said sarcastically, grabbing his jacket and running out the door.

"Alex!" She called, and soon Lane was running with her, trying to catch Alex. Lane caught him around the waist. "Boo, what in the hell?"

"I'm going to check on him!" Alex shouted. "Let GO!"

"Alex boo, im sure hes fine." Sarah tried to sooth him.

Mike had been making his way to the house, stoping just short of seeing distance.

Alex ran out of Lane's arms and continued on his way to Daffy's.

Mike's brow furrowed as he ran to catch up to them. He wondered what was wrong with Alex?

"MIKE!" Alex exclaimed, pulling him into a tight but gentle hug.

Mike was surprised to say the least.
"A-Alex? Are you okay? Whats wrong?"

"You... Daffy..." Alex sobbed. He'd gotten all upset over nothing but it was too late to stop now. "COuldn't let him hurt you..."

"Oh Alex, baby im sorry." Mike huggled Alex to him tightly.
I didnt think you'd mind me being gone."

"Just can't let him touch you anymore." Alex shook his head vigorously.

"Alex baby, you weren't so upset before, whats gotten into you?"

"I was always this upset. I just kept it inside." Alex said softly.
