I Dream Of Death

Alex let out a heavy breath and looked down.
"Why do you have to see right through me...?"

"Because, I have been with you for so long and I love you more than anything, I love you and I know how you work. I see you."
He hugged Alex and let out a shaky breath. He would cry later.

Alex hugged Mike close.
"I... I can't hurt you again. I'm trying. I'm willing to stay with you over Lane, Mike."

"Alex, even if I let you keep me you wont love me more. You start to resent me because you had to let Lane go for me. Then you would start to hate me, you would leave me because you hated me so much."

"Mike, I could never hate you. I will always love you, even if I do love Lane more. I won't stop loving you."

Mike laughed humorlessly.
"Ill keep on loving you, Ill keep on loving you. Through the baby don't leave mes and I take it backs, id never hurt you's."

Alex sighed, resting his forehead against Mike's.
"Goodbye kiss?"

"Depends, is this really goodbye?"
Mike looked at Alex with sad broken eyes, they shined with tears and love for this man."

"Depends. Would you rather me leave and never come back? Or would you want me to keep coming back to visit you?"

" I don't know if I would be able to take it."
Mike muttered warily.

"Thats why I'm asking you. It's your choice. Is this goodbye?"

Mike closed his eyes as the tears finally fell.
"Th-This is G-Goodbye!" He sobbed as his hand covered the scar Alex had left over his heart.

Alex bit down on his lower lip.
"Don't cry over me darlin. I'm not worth it." He kissed Mike's lips softly and backed towards the door.
"Goodbye." He whispered. He walked out and found Quinton.
"It's done. M-mike and I... we're done..." Alex whispered softly.

Quinton just nodded and patted his shoulder before going to Mike room, opening it just enough so they could see Mike on his knees tears pouring from his baby blue eyes.

Alex didn't know what to do. He had no clue where Lane was. And his heart.. well he didn't know if he could ever mend his heart from this state. Lane might never speak to him again. And he'd just told Mike this was goodbye.

Quinton cursed and tried to get Mike up from the floor and Mike just rared back and punched him, screaming, crying, asking why Lane was so much better.

Alex cringed as he heard the sobs. He sighed, he couldn't take hearing that. He walked away, limping back to the house.

Sarah was at the house, she had started super and even had every thing cleaned. She looked up as Alex came in.
"Lane is in my room, you know if you wanna talk to him."

"I don't think he will talk to me." Alex sighed. "I lost both of them. I guess I deserve it but it still hurts.."

"Alex baby atleast go try." She kissed his cheek and pushed him toward her room.

Alex hesitantly stumbled into the room, eyeing Lane sitting on the bed.

Lane looked up but quickly put his head back down.
"I-I just came for my things. Ill be gone soon b-....Alex."

"Lane... Mike and I.. we're done. It's the end for us. We finally said goodbye..... I don't know if you still want me. But if you do... I'm yours." Alex sighed, turning away from Lane.

"Alex I thought you ended it with me, you said you chose Mike."
Lane stood and wrapped his arms around Alex.

"I tried to... Sarah was telling the truth. I was the one who was lying... I just didn't want to hurt Mike after I promised him I wouldn't do this again."
